Bio:
Dickie Lee Erwin, his siblings, mom and dad grew up on farms and ranches in the sparsely populated, wind blown southeast New Mexico/ west Texas territory. He started piano at 6, then at 12 his parents bought him his first guitar. “It was a cheap one. I could barely play it but, it inspired me”. At nineteen Dickie got his first banjo for $15 and started studying under James Henley, father of world renown banjoist, Jimmy Henley. By the time Dickie got to Austin he realized that writing songs was his real passion. Now, to date, he’s recorded 9 independently released albums, plus the ‘EP’ he’s presently releasing.
